We're Back!!!

We flew back to the beautiful state of Texas about a week ago now! I wish I would've taken a picture of Hudson and Katie's faces as we arrived at the gate- they were so excited to be back.  These past five and a half months have been wonderful, difficult, beautiful, challenging, life-changing......

Our time away has been a huge revelation that when we are weak and miserable, He is strong and He is good! Thank you so much to those of you who have been praying for our family.  We have been overwhelmed by the power of the Holy Spirit and God's provision. Here are some pictures of our journey:

This is a picture of our team outside of the parsonage where we had our meetings.

HOMELESS SHELTER ministry:
Hudson was a big helper
So were the girls!

SOCCER ministry:
Hudson loved this one

VILLAGE outreach:
We had the opportunity to leave the city and venture out to a small village.  While there we were able to join the people in worship and lead them in a pretty intense prayer time.  This ended up being a stretching time for both Rich and I in so many ways and opened up our eyes to the power and authority that we have in Jesus.

None of the children could speak English but it didn't stop us from loving on them!

REFUGEE ESL ministry:
We loved getting to teach these kids.  Our group of teachers had opportunities to share Christ with several of them even though it was not allowed at the University. God truly opened up my eyes to His love for them and gave me a bigger glimpse into His love for all people groups-our God is so big!

We had a party our last day there and the kids all brought food from their culture- this was the best food I had in Malaysia--SO GOOD!

STREET BLAST
We organized a street party at the church.  We had to get permits in order to have it because we were going to be evangelizing.  Because it was in a predominantly Indian/Hindu area we were given permission by the Muslim government.  We had over 200 people from several different countries come to here the gospel through music, dance, drama, reading of the Word and testimony.  We invited all of our friends from ESL, prostitutes, hotel staff, people we had met on the street and so many other places AND they all came!  We were blown away by the turn out.  The church provided materials (Bibles, tracts, etc.) in 10 different languages to pass out.  By the end of the night almost everything had been given away!

The kids all took turns reading the Bible to our homeless friend Charlie that night

I have so many more pictures!  I'm hoping that this is going to load with all that I have put on it for now!  We have so many great stories of how the Lord showed up in mighty ways.  Our team helped empower and encourage the  church to follow up and disciple the people we met with and ministered to.  It was exciting to see how a church that was already doing so well welcomed us with humble and teachable hearts.  I think we were all blessed and learned a lot from each other.  We are trying to meet up with as many people as we can while we are back in Texas. We want to share all that God has done in us and through us the past few months.  Please let us know if you would like to meet up.

WE STILL NEED YOUR PRAYER:

* We put our application in for staff with YWAM in Taiwan and will hopefully hear back from them soon.  They accept new staff in May so this is what we are hoping for.  As soon as we find out if we have been accepted we will be working on visas, purging our home and raising support.  Praise God that He is in the details, and that as we make our plans He directs our steps- Prov.16:9!
